34th Australia New Zealand Econometric Study Group Meeting (ANZESG)

On 14 February 2025, Motu Research, The Treasury New Zealand and the Reserve Bank of New Zealand are hosting the 2025 meeting of the Australia and New Zealand Econometrics Study Group (ANZESG) in Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand.

Since its original foundation in 1997 as the New Zealand Econometric Study Group (NZESG), this conference series has been a forum for econometricians and applied economists in Australia and New Zealand to meet, present, and discuss their work. The conference series features scheduled discussants, awards to recognize young scholars, and regularly attracts visitors from Asia, North America and Europe.

Call for Papers (Submissions CLOSED, as of 20 November 2024)

The ANZESG is hosting its next New Zealand-based meeting on 14 February 2025. The submission deadline for papers is Wednesday 20 November 2024 for full papers if available, or extended abstracts.

Awards are presented to to young/emerging econometricians based on their research and presentation at the meeting. To qualify for an award, researchers should either be working towards a PhD or have completed doctoral research within the past two years.  Please let us know when you submit whether you want to be considered for these awards.

Full papers are required by Wednesday 22 January 2025.

Deadline for Registration

The conference registration fee covers morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and the meeting dinner. We will provide the details for payment by direct credit.

Note that registrations for 'attendance only' are also welcome.
